Welcome to the federation

The LGBT Federation North East was established in 2008 to enable local lesbian, gay, bisexual and trangender people living or working in northeast England to work together for better services, better access to information and to make sure we have a strong voice in local and regional decision-making. It takes over the work of the LGBT Network.

The Federation was formed as a direct result of what people said they wanted through the Coalition for Action on Diversity and Equality (CADE).

The LGBT Federation North East welcomes input from every group, agency, enterprise and individual that wishes to make a positive commitment to improving representation and the accountability of our spokespersons, developing better services or advancing communication and information sharing.

Please make use of this site, and help to make it work for as many people as possible by letting us list you group or organisation, or by sharing news and events information; you can help to make this site work by telling us what is working well for you...and what is not so good.
